Welcome to Girls Night Out! My name is Shannon Beasley, and I am thrilled to create a space where women can come together to connect, laugh, and celebrate life. As a two-time cancer survivor, I know firsthand the importance of community and the incredible strength we draw from one another.

My journey brought me to the Richmond Chapter of Here for the Girls, a breast cancer support organization dedicated to improving the lives of women diagnosed under the age of 51. I joined as a member, and later, I had the honor of serving as a facilitator. During my time there, I cherished the deep and meaningful relationships I built with the ladies who shared similar experiences. These connections helped me move past my diagnosis and start living again. While I can’t say I’m grateful for having cancer, I am profoundly thankful for the love and support I received during my darkest times. Many of those friendships remain a cherished part of my life today.

Girls Night Out is my way of giving back and paying forward the support I’ve been so fortunate to experience. My vision is to create a welcoming environment where women can bond, dance, and simply enjoy each other’s company. We all have those close friends we don’t get to see as often as we’d like. These events, held from 6-10 PM, are designed to fit into our busy lives, offering just enough time to unwind and connect before heading home to rest for the next day.

I am also passionate about supporting local nonprofits with missions focused on helping women. Through Girls Night Out, I aim to uplift and empower our community while giving back to causes that truly make a difference.
